Texmod help - Guild Wars Forums

Just re-downloaded texmod to get started on my cartography titles, but im having issues getting it to work. I used to use it a while back, so i know its possible to run on this comp, but now it doesnt want to cooperate with me. I did a quick search through the forums for some quick fixes, but nothing works to this point. Of course, i started off by re-downloading it, thinking i had a corrupt file, but that wasn't the problem. I also downloaded Carto made easy complete collection over again, still not working. Then i ran the -image command, downloaded the 37k files again, and still doesnt work! I closed and re-opened GW a few times as well, and still nothing works with texmod. I'm running GW on Windows XP, what other fixes could get this working for me? I have my graphics set on low in game, because the comp is old and doesnt run as good with full resolutions on. Can this be causing the problems with texmod too? Thanks in advance for anyone's help.

Do u run gwx2? or any other program that causes you to have more than one copy of guildwars?
if so, try start texmod via any other .exe u have. that's often the problem for me, so gl!

I find, for me personally, that clicking on the mod after loading it, under 'Package Name', before clicking on 'Run' helps me.

Other then that, you could try running Texmod as admin (right-click on Texmod.exe and click 'Run as admin')

You know you have to start guild wars via texmod, right?

No, i only run 1 copy of GW. I tried clicking on the mod, that didnt work either

Obviously i have to run it through texmod.. going to try running through admin, hopefully it works.

Texmod stops functioning properly on some installs if you update Guild Wars with a texmod-opened session of Guild Wars. To fix this, you should reinstall the .exe file (the .dat is fine) and open it without texmod once. Once it has updated, you can use texmod normally. Next time there is an update, get the update first without loading Guild Wars with texmod, then reload with texmod.
